History
2011

In June 2011, I started a group for textile artists who would like to expand their art and themselves.
The idea was to meet every now and then, learn a new technique and set a challenge, so that as a group we would have a body of work ready for exhibiting in Waikato Patchwork and quilters exhibition "Calling all quilts".
The group grew quickly to 20 inspired members, who wanted to meet regular and share heaps!

2014
We now meet monthly for a full day class and sharing.
We have grown substantially in the later part of this year due to lots of newspaper articles about the group and the workshops we ran.
We now have over 50 members.

2015

We now meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sat.
On the 4th Sat we have a full day class or workshop. The tutors are our members or local artists.

On the 2nd Sat we have a Creative Co-workers day. This is a creative, social, do your own thing day.

We have regular members from as far away as Tirau, Matamata, New Plymouth and Thames. And members from Wellington and Papamoa  who attend as often as they can.
