Textile Mixed Media Artists
In June 2011, I started a group for textile artists who would like to expand their art and themselves.
The idea was to meet every now and then, learn a new technique and set a challenge, so that as a group we would have a body of work ready for exhibiting in Waikato Patchwork and quilters exhibition "Calling all quilts".
The group grew quickly over 2 months, to 20 inspired members, who wanted to meet regular and share heaps!

BASICS
No joining fee
$2 paid at each meeting
We meet every 2 months on 4th Sat, in Hamilton.
9.30am– 3ish with 2 classes.
You pay costs of each class (varying from $0 - $5ish)
You can join members list (will attend meetings)
or interested list (can’t attend now but want to be kept in the loop)

Day: 9.30 – 3.30
9.30 - Start- Mingle, show and tell, drinks.
10ish - Technique 1 – details given before each meeting
12.00 - Lunch and mini meeting if needed, kept short sharp and sweet
12.30ish - Technique 2
2.30ish - Challenge set, mingle and sharing, people leave as they want
